Life in Turkey

Climate: The weather is cold and snowy in winters and summer is hot and dry,

Economy: Main resources are agriculture and feeding/selling animals.

Cooperation in the family: Family men are working at fields and family helps them. Women are housewives. Children are helping the family and continue their education.
Appearance clothes:

Daily-life clothes: We wear normal clothes, men wear trousers, shirt, women wear skirt and t-shirt and blouse.
Pre-wedding ceremonies: When the girl and boy came to wedding age,family let them choose their own wife or husband. Before the ceremony, groom can’t see the bride. They drink şerbet (traditional sweet and flavoured water), eat nuts and eat dessert to talk about sweet things. Bride can wish something from groom.
Wedding ceremonies: Weddings are like big celebrations, it continue 4 days. Musicians make music with drum and zurna. All expenses are spent by groom side.
Yaramış Primary School: First school of Yaramış was built in 1956. They continue to education at same school in one class till 1991. All five grades were in the same class. They built two more classes in 1991. Then, they built one more new class in 2000. Government decided to built new building in 2004. (8 class, computer and physic lab) We are 120 students in the school.

ESTEPONA: Find your place on the coast of Spain

ESTEPONA  

"It's what you want"

Description:

Estepona is a large village which is on the coast of Malaga in Andalusia. It has 60.000 inhabitants.

Estepona has many beautiful beaches and mountains where it snows rarely, and are excellent for hiking.

It also has many parks where children play happily with their pets, with the ball and also is where teens spend the day with friends.
It has museums and a bullring where does a summer theater.
Its port is quite large and there are many boats moored in the summer where you can also ride a catamaran.
It has many good schools and institutes where children and teens learn to form and make a better future for this nation.
The hotels are great because, for example, has five-star Kempinski. There, tourists can spend a great holiday in Estepona.

My opinion:

I think that living in Estepona is great because you meet great people and lots to do, so whenever you have a good. You can go swimming at the beach, climbing a mountain, take a walk or play with your friends, you can go have fun with your family and friends to the fair in May and in July to hop on the rides.
I believe that Estepona is great and nothing will change my opinion.

FINLAND'S CLIMATE

Seasons and nature in Finland

- We have four different seasons in Finland. The temperature can change on a large scale.

- The Finnish nature is very pretty. Nearly 75% of our area is woods. We have more trees than you have :) Mostly of our trees are pines, spruces and birches.

- There are lots of lakes but they're quite shallow. The biggest lake is Saimaa.   

- January and February are the coldest seasons and July is the hottest season of the year.

- We have more rainy than sunny days.

         

Spring

- It’s quite cold (0 - 10 degrees) in the spring. In Finland spring lasts from March to May. The days are getting longer and the weather is getting warmer. 

                

Summer

- Even you wouldn't believe it, Finnish summers are quite warm. The temperature is more than 10 degrees above zero and we are really proud of that. In the middle of summer we often have nightless nights when the sun doesn't set at all. 

                

Autumn

- The autumn is very colorful period of the year, because there are red and yellow leaves in the trees and on the ground. The days are getting shorter and the weather is getting colder. Finnish autumn starts in the beginning of September.  

                

Winter

- The winter is very dark and cold. The temperature can be over - 20 degrees. There is a lot of snow and we're going to drown in it, so if you want to you can come and take all the snow from our backyards :) 

In the matter of fact, we don't fight or ride with the polar bears or whales (but we guess that the polar bears could like this weather.)

INTERVIEW WITH A PROFESSIONAL TENNIS PLAYER: CARLOS DIVAR, a student and a sportsman

Carlos Divar is a student at Los Pacos High School who came last year from the north of Spain to continue his career as a tennis player here, since he wanted to work with a reputed coacher who works in a sports centre in this area.Marco Apolo Pulpillo, a student of 2º year,  has interviewed him for this blog.

Marco: How old were you when you started to do tennis?
Carlos:When I was 5 years old; one day I was playing "frontón" and a lady saw me and she told me to do tennis.  So I joined a tennis school in my town...
Marco: Does it prove very difficult to you to complement tennis with your studies?
Carlos:Yes, it is difficult for me because sometimes I am in a tournament and I have exams and I may have to travel to another country or city...
Marco: What efforts have you had to do to succeed in both things?
Carlos: I practise every day for 3 hours and when I finish, I go home and I do all my homework. When I finish, I have dinner and then I study. I go to sleep at 00:00 hours at night
Marco: What do you think of coming here to FUENGIROLA to continue your sports career?
Carlos:It has been a very good decision because I'm becoming much better in tennis and in the school too. This year I have won the Spanish Championship in 14-year-old level.
Marco: Where do you want to get to?
Carlos: I want to be in the TOP TEN list.
Marco: Do you miss the people that you left in Vitoria?
Carlos: Yes, I miss my friends, my tennis partners there and my family...
Marco: Is your family proud of what you are achieving?
Carlos: Yes, they are
Marco: Where did you win the first tennis prize?
Carlos: In the first tournament I played...
